Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an important part of the treatment program at Recovery Ways. Clients have both the legal and ethical right to confidentiality and anonymity, at all times.
Information disclosed by the client’s treatment is confidential and will not be released by Recovery Ways to any third party without written authorization from the client, except where required or permitted by law. Exceptions to the confidentiality restrictions include, but are not limited to, reporting child, elder and dependent adult abuse, notification of a serious threat of violence towards a reasonably identifiable victim, or when a client is dangerous to him/herself or the person or property of another. If the client desires Recovery Ways to release information to any third parties, the client shall complete and execute the Authorization for the Release of Mental/Physical Health Information or, if necessary, such other consents as may be required by applicable law.
